Prom

Sun Jun 7, 2009, 11:51 AM
Yesterday was Prom night. It was also SAT day. To put it simply, SATs such. I had to get up at 6:11 to get ready to go and they took four hours to do. All the sections look the same. So after I spent four hours staring at problems I could care less about Mom and I got some Wendy's for a quick lunch and went to get my hair done. That went well. Pretty simple up-do, only took half an hour. After that was done we went to get the flowers my mom and ordered and I spent twenty minutes in the car while the florist put together a bouquet for me. We got home a little later than we wanted and Courney was there waiting for us. My cousin Jackie came over and did our make up and after some pictures we were off, several minutes late and without our flowers. After speeding most of the way there we managed to get to the school in time for grand march. Several hundred compliments later we walked out, stopped at all our Xes and were done. Once grand march was over we went out side, took more pictures and got a table. Courtney got the chicken, I got the beef. I should have gotten the chicken though. The beef was more fat than meat.

The entertainment for the night was a hypnotist. I really want to know who came up with that idea. Seriously, sure he made a bunch of students act like chimpanzees and drive imaginary cars and yell at race horses and scratch inappropriate places, but come on, couldn't they think of anything better?

Here's where the trouble started. Half way through the show I had to use the little girls room. Anyone who's seen my dress knows there's a problem with this. I actually had to get out of my dress just to pee. The thing is, when I got back into my dress, the clasp broke. And the clasp is what kept my dress where it was supposed to be. So, dear Courney and I went in search of something to keep my dress up. The solution to our problem; a paper clip. The big plastic kind. It kept popping off but it worked well enough. Once my dress was fixed we went on a carriage ride around the park. That was nice. However, when we went to get out of the carriage, I broke something else. I don't even know what I caught my shoe on but, somehow, the strap on my shoe snapped. So there I was, broken dress, broken shoes. Time to dance.I've decided that Caramel Frappuccinos are my new favorite thing. We got some more pictures with some more people, dance some more and that was Prom.

Now you may think that my streak of destruction was over by now. Nope. I still had one more thing to break. You see, they gave us disposable cameras to take pictures with and photo albums to put them in. Well, while trying to find Courntey's grandmother's car I was attempting to carry my shoes, the photo albums, the camera, bubbles, my dress and my wrap, all at the same time. You can guess which one I dropped. The camera fell, plastic flew, film was exposed, I was sad. So, in one night I managed to break my cousin's dress, my aunts shoe, and my camera. I'm just that talented. We made it home, mom took some more pictures, and I went to bed.

It was a terrifying dream. People were running around the zoo in kimonos.

I think the most terrifying part of that is the fact that I know you'd do that for real.

But I wasn't in a kimono! It was everyone else in the writing department... and Amy.
